Old Vaughanians 1
London Welsh I 3

Tatenda Dangare (1)
Phil Cain (1)
Clint (1)

Deserved result after a good all round performance against competitive opponents.

Solid first half with Matt Scott deputizing well at centre back and Evo full of energy and probing at right full back. Numerous London goal attempts repelled mainly by a degree of luck and Vaughanians impressive keeper.

Vaughanians however, took lead from the spot after a controversial handball. There was still time for Phil Cain to draw London level with another spot kick following a handball after great work by Al Taylor down the right. Half time: 1-1.

Second period largely dominated by London with the combination of Adam and Clint in central midfield working hard to break down then set up attacks. Vaughanians' best efforts came from distance and Adam Cain was required to react smartly to a couple of long range efforts.

More left wing pressure resulted in a goalmouth melee with Tatenda first to react to the loose ball and hammer into the roof of the net. With Vaughanians tiring, London frequently tested both full backs down the flanks - only poor finishing keeping the contest alive until Clint settled the game with a rising drive after a good run.
